Unexpected Developments
In a shocking move, by the Archdiocese of Baltimore, the Marian Prayer Group Meeting, at St. Joseph's, is suspended.
In a surprising move, the Archdiocese of Baltimore issued a statement suspending the Thursday evening Mass and Marian prayer services at St. Joseph Church, Emmitsburg, Maryland, stating that the archdiocese “ Finds no basis for them”, Sept 8, 2000, the Feast of the Birth of Mary.
The public messages for the world were also suspended by Our Lady of Emmitsburg, at that time.
The Sullivans followed the directives of the archdiocese, remaining silent and compliant.
However, on May 5, 2001, at the Blessed Mother’s request, Gianna and Michael Sullivan spoke out for the first time since the Archdiocese of Baltimore’s statement, at a Marian conference in Pittsburgh, when they issued this statement :
“We, Gianna and Michael Sullivan, are faithful Catholics and we love the Roman Catholic Church..., we do manifest unconditional submission to the final and official judgment of the Magisterium of the Church, regarding the events pertaining to the alleged apparitions of the Virgin Mary, to Gianna Sullivan, in Emmitsburg, MD...; however, it seems to us and to many, many others at this time, both clergy and laity alike, that the final and official judgment has not yet been issued.”
During that talk, they also revealed new information, from Our Lady of Emmitsburg, on the Second Coming of Jesus, the Eucharistic Reign, the Warning, and more. ( The Prophecies )
On August 5, 2002, Our Lady of Emmitsburg resumed giving her public message to the world.
On June 7, 2003, Cardinal Keeler, Archbishop of Baltimore, issued a decree declaring that the apparitions are not supernatural.
