Words From Our Lady of Emmitsburg

the Center of my Immaculate Heart,
will be a living realization of the Gospel."

An excerpt from Dr. Gianna Sullivan's Talk
at the Steel City Marian Conference, May 5, 2001

  Our Lady has not backed away from anything she has said about the Center of her Immaculate Heart in Emmitsburg, and she is now again inviting all her children to start coming once again to pray at the Center of her Immaculate heart...it is a time of abundant graces of enlightenment and strength. 

  NOW is the time to change before it is too late.
  May God have mercy on our Church!
  May God have mercy on the whole world!

  As can be expected, not everyone is supportive of Our Lady of Emmitsburg and her message, even some who live in this special place of grace.Our Lady does have a response to this attitude:

"I am sorry to say , I cannot leave this place
as some of you desire would because
My Son has asked me to come here,
and I bow in obedience to His will at all costs."

  From this statement a case can be made: Our Lady is not going to bow to the request of anyone about her presents in Emmitsburg, except her Son.  Nonetheless, there are those in Emmitsburg, lay persons and clergy alike, who appear to wish that things connected with Our Lady of Emmitsburg would go away.

 In addition to not leaving , Our Lady has revealed other information about her presence in Emmitsburg, stating that she is not in any one place there, meaning in no particular building or area.  This makes a day of prayer in Emmitsburg a truly unique experience, as our Lady's presence can be found in many places in this spiritual haven, adding to the joy-filled experience of visiting the religious sites there.  Pilgrims are welcome and treated well. 

However we, who have published this site, believe it is our responsibility to mention that we have noted a less than enthusiastic welcome, by a few, when Our Lady of Emmitsburg seekers have identified themselves.  Therefore, we suggest that when you go to Emmitsburg, at this time, for a private pilgrimage to visit Our Lady of Emmitsburg, you may want to keep your interest in Our Lady of Emmitsburg just that, private.  Unless that is, you don't mind a healthy debate and a slice of persecution that seems to surround all authentic apparitions.  

Directions To Emmitsburg

From Harrisburg and North:  Follow Rt. 15 south about 1 mile south of the State line.
From Frederick and South:  Follow Rt. 15 north.
From Westminster: Follow Rt. 140 west.
