Wayne Weible,
World Renowned Medjugorje Author and Lecturer,
Publicly Expresses His Support For the Apparitions of Our Lady of Emmitsburg, Occurring to Gianna Sullivan
The following is an excerpt from an article published 8/05 in the The Northern Regional Times Newspaper, Mahanoy City, PA,

On Saturday, August 13, 2005, during a lecture to approximately 170 people, Wayne Weible publicly stated his support for Gianna Sullivan, when he remarked,
" If she [Sullivan] is a phony, then I'm a phony, and so are all the people and visionaries at Medjugorje".
During this talk, Weible also announced that he will be including the monthly public messages of Our Lady of Emmitsburg, given through Gianna Sullivan, in his monthly newsletter, which reaches people throughout the nation and the world.
A crowd gathered in a conference room, a few miles from Emmitsburg, Maryland on the steamy Saturday evening of August 13, 2005. It was the kind of thick humid night that feels as if each breath is being drawn through a cotton sock. But, there was more than humidity in the air that evening.
There was an electrifying current that swirled among attendees. It snapped with high voltage expectation each time they spoke about what was about to happen: Wayne Weible, world renowned author and lecturer, was about to take center stage, to discuss the alleged apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, occurring in Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina. And hopefully, as desired by many in the crowd, he would also discuss the alleged apparitions of Our Lady of Emmitsburg, to Gianna Sullivan.
The crowd was not disappointed. With a joyful glow, a vivacious smile, and dancing dark eyes, Wayne Weible not only spoke of Our Lady of Medjugorje, the visionaries there, and the miraculous events happening in that mystical place, but he also revealed an amazing fact, which connects Gianna Sullivan, to Medjugorje: In 1988, while on one of his countless trips to Medjugorje, Weible reported that he witnessed a brilliant beam of light pointing toward a woman. That woman, he learned, was Gianna Talone Sullivan.
Weible related that after he had seen the mysterious light, he had spoken to Sullivan. And, referring to the apparitions of the Blessed Mother in Medjugorje, he announced to Sullivan, "You have something to do with all of this."
Weible's vision of light and prophetic message to Gianna Sullivan turned out to be far more than a perplexing incidents. Rather, it appears they are the events that signify the link between Our Lady of Medjugorje and Our Lady of Emmitsburg, Gianna Sullivan is the bridge, and Wayne Weible the witness to the mystical signs.
( It was during this time frame that Gianna Sullivan's remarkable mystical experiences began to occur. It was during this pilgrimage to Medjugorje that our Lady spoke to Gianna Sullivan announcing, "I am coming home with you... It is time for the mission to begin.")
Then, while smiling broadly at the audience, and this time referring to the reported apparitions of Our Lady of Emmitsburg, Weible reflected on the situation in a lighthearted manner, and facetiously remarked, "So you see, I may have been the one who started all of this." His comments were received with applause.
Weible stated, "It is important when determining the authenticity of an apparition to look at several things. Among them is the fruits that have come from the apparition. The fruit of Gianna's experience is Mission of Mercy."
Weible was careful to instruct attendees on the signs and wonders that flow from authentic apparitions, stating that they are like heavenly enticements and are not the main purpose of the apparitions. Using supernatural occurrences such as rosaries turning gold, visions in the sky, miracles, etc., as examples, Weible illustrated his point with an analogy.
He said, "These things are like flags around a car lot, trying to get the attention of people".
These "flags", he conveyed, "are the attention grabbers which are sent by God to draw people toward the real treasure, the Lord Jesus Christ and His Kingdom."
Weible concluded by stating his opinion on the reason the Blessed Mother is appearing to people on earth at this time.
"She is coming," he said emphatically, "to wake us up to the Gospel!" "But," he cautioned, "It's only with the heart of a child that you will know that these apparitions are occurring."
